Hot Date!

My sweetheart and I went on a date tonight, and it was wonderful. 
After dinner, where we split an order of cheesy bread, he took me out for ice cream!  I tried to tell him how silly it was to go pay $1.75 each for an ice cream cone when I had JUST brought home a 4 pack of ice cream sandwiches, for one shiny penny less than a dollar. 
   But he insisted that I was worth it (or maybe he was insisting he wanted a mint chocolate chip ice cream cone).  Either way, we went out for dinner, then to the ice cream shoppe.  Next time he just might even by me a T-shirt from the ice cream joint (I'd take the pink one in a medium).
We happily ran down the side walks of main street together, giggling, like we were teens and it was our first date (please, tell me that's still what teens do for their first date? okay, I know it isn't, but they should, it was pure fun!). 
Great evening!  Now we're back home, time to lay our heads down upon our pillows and dream about the memories we created tonight.

Ps- It's so much easier to handle a toddler on a sugar high and a tired quiet little girl after a couple hours away.  Thanks to the grandparents for watching the little ones tonight, and feeding them too (even if it was just ice cream and fortune cookies! haha!).
