I am forever feeling like my kids don't have enough time during the week to play. By the time my daughter gets home we do homework, make supper, eat, baths and go to bed. It just goes too fast!
This week, I will work in time to play.
What do you like to "play" with your kids? Or what do they love to play with on their own?
I think that you forget, or perhaps you have never noticed that everything to kids is "play." There are few worries, they don't have a family to support, they have no job, they don't even have to think about where there next meal is coming from.
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't always have to be doing a craft or going to the zoo or "doing" anything. Play is what kids do with every breath. Sure somethings are more fun and sure your lives get busy with so many things going on that you feel guilty. But as long as you hear them laughing and see them smile once in awhile, everything will be ok. You're doing a great job.
By the way John Cleese was a regular on Monty Python (a pre Saturday Night Live comedy show)some 3 decades ago or so. He was absolutely hilarious!!!
